Flunixin meglumine is a potent non-narcotic, non-steroidal, analgesic agent with anti-inflammatory and fever reducing activity. Commonly prescribed and used  for colic (smooth muscle relaxent)  and the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders in horses.
