Fluconazole is an antifungal agent. Commonly prescribed and  used for infections caused by cryptococcal meningitis, blastomycosis, and histoplasmosis. It can also be used for superficial skin infections and nail diseases, especially those caused by candidiasis and dermatophytosis.
