Itraconazole is commonly prescribed in both dogs and cats to treat infections caused by fungi. These infections may affect the skin, claws, brain, respiratory tract, bone and other tissues. Infections treated by itraconazole include cryptococcosis (cats), and dermatophyte infections (dogs and cats).
