Minocycline is a tetracycline antibiotic. It can be used for a variety of bacterial infections. It can also be used in dogs for infections caused by Rickettsia, Canine ehrichiosis (anaplasmosis), toxoplasma, Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme Disease), leptospirosis, and Necorickettsia helminthoeca (salmon poisoning). In cats, it can also be used for infections caused by Bartonella, Mycoplasma, Dermatophilus, and Mycobacteria.
