Compounded Prescription Medication Notice

All compounded products are custom-compounded preparations from CORE Veterinary Pharmacy.

Compounded medications are prepared pursuant to a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) and are intended to meet the specific medical needs of an individual animal or herd when an FDA-approved product is unavailable or unsuitable.

• Is not FDA approved
• Is compounded in accordance with applicable federal and state pharmacy regulations
• Is dispensed only for a legitimate medical purpose within the scope of professional veterinary practice

A valid VCPR must be established and documented before dispensing. The prescribing veterinarian assumes responsibility for clinical judgment, dosing, and medical necessity. This medication may only be ordered and used for legitimate veterinary medical purposes within the veterinarian’s scope of specialty and licensure.
