These medications are compounded in accordance with federal and state pharmacy regulations and are dispensed only for legitimate medical purposes within the scope of professional veterinary practice. A valid VCPR must be established and documented before dispensing. The prescribing veterinarian is responsible for clinical judgment, dosing, and medical necessity. These medications may only be ordered and used for legitimate veterinary medical purposes within the veterinarian’s scope of practice and licensure.
